"Ethel [Kamwendo Banda] where are you? Thoko Katimba where are you? Why dint you consult [Allan] Ngumuya MP who is also a musician himself? Grace's body deserved to be taken at Kamuzu Stadium because she was a public figure and you have witnessed yourself here that Robins Park is too small for this funeral ceremony," said the chief before receiving a loud of applause. The chief said due to overcrowding at Robins park she nearly fainted because of the heat. "Next time do it better and for today as chiefs we have forgiven you,"she said. Minister of Youth Sports and Culture Grace Chiumia described Chinga's death as a big blow to the nation. She said even President Peter Mutharika was shocked and saddened with the death of Grace. Chiumia said it is sad to be losing talented musician like Grace who preach the word of God through music. Musician Association of Malawi President Willy Chatepa said Grace was a talented musician and that  it will be difficult to replace her. Chimwemwe Mizaya, a veteran gospel artist said Grace will remain in Malawian hearts because of her role she played in promoting gospel music.
