Zimbabwe’s Baba-hit-maker dates Malawi

Zimbabwean Afro-politan gospel music sensation and multi award-winning songster, the 'Baba' hit song maker, Dr. Tawanda will this weekend date Malawian music enthusiasts and fun-seekers for a marathon of an action-packed music bonanza, the organisers have declared.baba According to the promoters of Dr. Tawanda's Malawian tour of entertaining, Mizu entertainment the music fiesta which promises fireworks will kick-start  this Friday, October 23rd, 2015 at the, Robins Park downtown Malawi's commercial city, Blantyre from 9:00 pm on the dot. Organisers say the show which is billed as the mother of box-to-box live music will feature the country's top-brightest stars and notch music loyalties comprising of reggae kingpins and live-music performing boffins, Chileka-based Black Missionaries, electrifying stage master, Anthony 'Mr Cool' Makondetsa, R&B crooner Lulu, the stimulating music outfit Mizu band and Malawi's gifted man of the moment silky-voiced Nepman of Chilawe Changachi fame. The subsequent music extravaganza showdown will be held in the capital Lilongwe, at Lilongwe Golf Club starting at 1:30 pmprompt and cover-charge for both the shows is pegged at K2, 500 per head. 'Ready and steady' Mizu Entertainment promotions director, Emmanuel Maliro told Nyasa Times Showbiz Wednesday that it will be one of the best music shows in the recent history explaining that all the local artists are ready to roll and that the Zimbabwean music import has vowed to rock the Malawian audiences and his fans to the maximum. “Everybody is ready to roll. Our local stars have vowed to give it all while the Zimbabwean music kingpin who is now man-of-the-moment has declared that he has not come to play but to show Malawians why he is on top of his music game,” explained Maliro. In a separate interview, the soft spoken gospel rocker, Dr. Tawanda said he feels honoured to be in Malawi for the first time and promised to live up to his billing. “I am happy to be in Malawi for the shows. I am more than ready to give out my best and I believe, with the help of God, everything will go on well and I have no doubt. I love my fans so much so that I will go to any length to entertain them. I love Malawi and the warmth of her people. It is a beautiful country with beautiful friendly people. I can’t wait for the showdown,” said Dr. Tawanda whose hit songs includes the chart-topping tune, Baba, unconquerable, Ambuye, Hamba, Madhawu andPaulendo among many other hit-songs. In another interview, Black Missionaries front-man, Anjilu Fumulani said that the ‘Music Missionaries’ are ready to go and that as usual they will give their fans and the music lovers value for their money. “We are ready. We will do as usual. Our business is to satisfy our fans and audience and this time we will not slack. I thus implore Malawians to come in their large numbers to experience the magic,” said Fumulani. On his part Lulu said the stage is set and that he is ready and steady to play the music and let the audience jive to the rooftops. Lulu said: “It’s going to be crazy. You how we do it, so come and be part of history. Its gonna be epic and there is no doubt about it,” said the Ana ambirimbiri Nzalera and Mwachenjera Darling’ hit-maker. Maliro urged Malawians to come in large numbers with their family and friends promising that they will not be disappointed. "Implore many people to come and join the fun. It will be a value for money family entertainment package. Security will be tight but very polite and I assure all and sundry that both the venues will be safe-havens for everybody to have fun. We promise," explained Maliro in a matter-of -fact-tone.
