The Urban Music Party (UMP) Awards 2015 nominations are out and it will definitely be a tough battle. The UMP Awards 2015 also have a special category namely Lifetime Achievers, which will be given to Criminal A and the late Mafunyeta. UMP Awards nominations were open to artists and content considered to have entertained Malawi and kept the urban music industry ticking between the months of October 2014 and August 2015. The 4th UMP Festival will feature star-studded performers Chimzy Kelly from Zambia, as guest-artist, and Malawi’s own Gwamba, Nepman, Diktator, Fredokiss, Piksy, Sangie, BarryOne, Bucci, Blakjak, Home Grown African, Sonye, Martse, Janta, Mafo, Trap Squad, Young Kay, Tech Dali and Daredevilz. The show will also feature special acts including spoken word, a dance showdown and an MC battle. Winners of these two competitions will receive K50,000 cash prizes.
