“Chilawe Changachi”, Black Nina’s song which features Nepman, is one of the hottest local tracks in Malawi.
Malawi Zoom online entertainment news reported that Black Nina claimed Nepman thieved the hit song.
But Kabol confirmed that “Chilawe Changachi” was Black Nina’s song.
“Nepman has never claimed that he owns the song, but these guys had an agreement that Nepman can use the song and Nina can do the same,” said Kabol to Nyasa Showbiz.
He claims that it was Black Nina who asked for the song to be included in Nepman’s compilation, but the idea was rejected based on how the song had already been popular.
According tp Black Nina, the song was recorded in December 2014 before Nepman shot to fame.
“The time we did that song Nepman was not a household name as he is now. I did the collabo with him because he has been a friend since 2013. First time we met at Mtanda Media in Ndirande and that was the time we discussed doing a collabo,” disclosed the artist.
Black Nina says all he is asking for is his share of the sale proceeds on the song.
“He can perform it, it’s a hit song and on top of that he is in the track, so he can perform it, but not own the song. They have sold the song, I need to have my share,” demands Black Nina.
