Five days after release, the track which sees the two gifted artists rap and sing about marriage tribalism in Malawi, has become one of the most-talked and played song on the land. It is also among the most downloaded songs on the local music platform, malawi-music.com, placed on number three in the Top 10 tracks this week, two steps below Tay Grin feat. 2Baba Chipapapa and Gwamba’s Better feat. Nathu observed that Mkazi Wa Kumwamba a song where Suffix shows his versatility as an artist by rapping in a more secular way while being observant of his gospel hip hop roots. He commented further: “The song is interesting because it talks about a general issue that raises questions as to how one can choose a lifelong partner, and the answer is found right in the song. “And the decision to bring in Faith Mussa makes the song unique because of his great vocals and helps explain more on the theme. It’s a very nice song because it’s mature and entertaining.” Joy FM radio DJ Marcus Pasanje, who is also a music producer and rapper, also gave positive reviews of the song. “Personally I really love that song. As a rapper he [Suffix] is on point, and having Faith [Mussa] on it will help attract a wider audience, it has all the qualities and potential to become the next Malawian hit,” explained Marcus, adding “Let's hope others will appreciate it the way I do.” Suffix, real name Aubrey George Ghambi, is a gospel rapper based in Blantyre.
