It was raining in Lilongwe on Thursday the martyrs day holiday but large crowds braved the chilly weather by flocking to Sheaffer ICA Marque in large numbers to witness the first launch of Mulowelelepo album by the Lilongwe Based Kamuzu Barracks Gospel Singers.

Willy Vumu who witnessed the album launch t6old Nyasa Times that is was “absolutely fantastic” show.
Kamuzu Barracks Gospel singers Director Chimwemwe Binauli said the patronage was beyond what they expected saying they have realized that people really love them.
“We thank God for this kind of patronage, It was a surprise that people prepared for us. It was raining cats and dogs but people braved the weather to support us, we don’t take it for granted,” Binauli said.
Binauli said they are also scheduled to launch the album in Zomba at Gymkhana Club on 2 April and Robins Park in Blantyre on 3 April, there after they will end their tour on 10 April at Boma Park in Mzuzu and that people should expect fireworks.
Among the patronage was former official hostess Mama Cecilia Kadzamira said it pleased her to be part of Kamuzu Barracks first launch as a way of honouring the political heroes who gave their lives in the struggle against British colonialism.
Kadzamira also said she did not regret being part of the show saying it was good entertainment and described it as “amazing.”
Some of the artists who performed during the launch were Great Angels Choir, favoured Martha, Lloyd Phiri and the happiness voices, Maggie Mangani, Princess Chitsulo, Marvelous Deeds P.O.V, among others
