Thamakela is confident enough that he has done a good job with his third release, describing it as mature work. “Mau Anu” carries the message of hope and salvation and the artist believes that people will be transformed after listening to the music. Thamakela, who is also a student at Pentecostal Life University where he is doing accountancy and finance, indicates it was tough to juggle studies and recordings. “It was a tough period making sure that I had to record my music and at the same time not miss any class, but glory be to God, I have made,” he shares his experience. Thamakela worked with the country’s renowned producers/musicians Joseph Tembo and Lloyd Phiri. The artist’s manager, Chris Loka, reveals that the singer will be travelling to rural to minister through music. These are the areas where other musicians do not go due to bad road networks. Loka says apart from music Thamakela and his management will also be engaged in charitable by among others making donations to schools, orphanages and hospitals. “We understand that people need spiritual help, but it also came to our senses that with the little we can get through our music, we can also reach out to people with physical help,” explains Loka. Some of the tracks on Thamakela’s new album include the title track, “MwandichitiraZazikulu”, “TizaimbaHossana”, “MbuyeMumandikwanira”, “TimauzaMbuye”,TipempheYesu”and “TidalirePemphero”. Thamakela came to limelight in 2012 when he released his debut album titled “UlindiMwai”, before he released the second one “MwandichotsaKutali” in 2014.
