Black Nina: Nepman has stolen my song 'Chilawe Changachi'

Trouble keeps on brewing on the local music scene with more ill-fated surprises being unfolded every day. Forget the Trap Squad and Soul Rebel Entertainment beef. Nepman has taken the attention after reports that he has now stolen a song “Chilawe Changachi” by Black Nina which featured him. Nepman’s Manager Kabol Lombwe could not respond to messages enquiring about the issue. According to Black Nina, Kabol vulgarly challenged him to report anywhere after he tried to reason with him. “I took up the issue with him and asked if they could at least take me to the shows so I can perform alongside Nepman even if they don’t pay me because all I want is to establish myself and get known to people. Kabol refused and then I asked him to stop Nepman from performing the song, but he never took any action until recently when I came across the news that he has included my song in Nepman’s album which he was selling in South Africa where he went to perform,” complained Black Nina. “When I asked him why he is selling my song, he rudely told me to report anywhere and stop bothering him. Am an upcoming artist and he knows that I can’t afford a lawyer that’s why he has treated me like this despite the successful project I had with Nepman. It’s so unfortunate many people don’t even know that ‘Chilawe Changachi’ is my song and not Nepman’s,” he said. After releasing “Na Leo”, Nepman got involved in a number of projects that saw artists chasing his voice for a chorus, including Black Nina, an upcoming artist from Blantyre who banged the airwaves with “Chilawe Changachi.”
