Onesimus | Miracle Money

It is a battle of microphones between two giant urban music artists namely Piksy and Onesimus Muzik, with the recent bout being induced by the latter’s recent production – Miracle Money. According to records, the song has been the fastest downloaded music, so far, in the history of Malawi Music website since its inception in 2011. Due to the massive inflow of downloaders the website was ‘çhocked’ at least twice during the day of its upload. The website breakdowns were reportedly intermittent over a period of first Eight hours. The breakdowns, which were confirmed by the website, were reportedly due to unexpected inflow of viewers and downloads that went beyond its carrying capacity. In celebration of its marketing success, the promoter of the artist, Kelvin Sulugwe challenged that “should there be any promoter who will beat this record within the next three months, I will give that promoter One Hundred Thousand Malawi Kwacha”. As the dust for the Miracle Money hit continued to whirl the airspace, another gigantic name in the urban music community, who is has recently been sharing beefs with Onesimus, released his single which was geared to run neck-to-neck with the Miracle Money. Piksy teamed up with Annie Matumbi and Junior C and called their single “Chitosi”. However, the Chitosi track failed to reach out the bar that was set forth by Miracle Money. While Miracle Money had achieved 13, 974 in 12 hours since its upload, Chitosi attracted 4, 673 downloads in a similar time frame. By 24 hour benchmark, Miracle Money was running with miracle downloads to a total of 20, 970. On the other hand, Chitosi by Piksy generated a total of 7, 404 by 24 hours of its upload. The battle between the two former buddies started when Onesimus renounced his inclination to secular music by switching to gospel production. With the main gist of the ongoing battle between the two still under wraps, the adversary was paraded before the public when Onesimus reacted to “Mthunzi” one of the many great hits that Piksy produced. In his reaction, through Facebook post, Onesimus who was otherwise known as Armstrong during his secular days pulled the curtains down heralding the content of the track to be aiming at him – perhaps based on what was going on behind the scenes. Meanwhile, while standing at 40, 000 plus downloads, Miracle Money is enjoying its top position on the Malawi Music top 10 chat while Piksy announces to release yet another song  in a gesture that could be presumed an effort to replace his “Chitosi” which has failed to spray down the scent spread by the Miracle Money.
